Terms of Service

Last updated June 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the tickets4U platform, websites, and services (collectively, the “Service”). tickets4U is a trade name operated by Payzio Inc(“tickets4U,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, registering for an event, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service and our role

tickets4U is a ticketing and event-registration platform that connects event organizers (“Organizers”) with attendees and buyers (“Buyers”). Organizers create events, set prices and capacity, and are solely responsible for their events. Buyers purchase tickets to, or register for, those events.

For paid events, Payzio Inc acts as the merchant of record and limited payment-collection agent for the Organizer. Transactions are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD) or U.S. dollars (USD) based on the Organizer’s billing address (postal or ZIP code). Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and Organizer payouts are settled through Stripe Connect. We are not the organizer, producer, owner, or performer of any event listed on the Service unless expressly stated.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian) to use the Service.
  • We use passwordless verification: you log in with a one-time code sent to your email address or mobile number. You are responsible for keeping access to that email and phone secure, and for all activity under your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

3. Buying tickets and registering

  • All prices are shown in the event’s currency (CAD or USD). Applicable service fees and taxes are displayed before you confirm a purchase.
  • Tickets and RSVP invites are issued as QR codes that may be bound to the purchasing or invited individual. Tickets are single-use and are validated at entry; a QR code that has already been scanned, or that fails signature verification, will be rejected.
  • Tickets may not be resold, transferred, or used for commercial purposes except where the Organizer has enabled transfers and you comply with any conditions they set. Unauthorized resale may result in cancellation without refund.
  • Admission to an event is subject to the Organizer’s rules and any disclaimers shown on the ticket or invite.

4. Free / RSVP events and Organizer host fees

Organizers may run free, invite-only (“RSVP”) events at which attendees pay nothing. For these events the Organizer pays tickets4U a flat hosting fee based on the size of their guest list (a “Host Plan”), charged when the Organizer sends invites. Host Plan fees are charged to the Organizer’s payment method and are described at the point of purchase. Each invited guest receives a personalized, single-use QR invite by email and/or SMS.

5. Organizer obligations

  • Organizers must complete identity verification (KYC) through Stripe before collecting payments for paid events, and must comply with Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement.
  • Organizers are solely responsible for their events, including delivery, content, safety, licensing, permits, taxes on their sales, accurate event information, communications with attendees, and honoring their own refund and cancellation policies.
  • Organizers set their own refund and cancellation terms within the framework described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy and are responsible for funding refunds they authorize.
  • Organizers grant tickets4U the right to display their event details, names, and marks for the purpose of operating the Service.

6. Fees

We charge service fees on paid tickets and host fees on free/RSVP events, as disclosed at the time of the transaction. Depending on the Organizer’s settings, the platform service fee may be passed to the Buyer or absorbed by the Organizer. Sales tax and payment-processing fees (charged by Stripe) are always paid by the Buyer. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive purpose;
  • create forged, duplicated, or tampered tickets or QR codes, or attempt to bypass ticket validation;
  • interfere with, probe, or disrupt the Service or its security features, or access it through automated means without permission;
  • send spam or unsolicited messages, or upload guest lists you are not authorized to contact;
  • infringe the rights of others or list events that promote illegal activity, hate, or harm.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the tickets4U and Payzio marks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a license to host and display it as needed to operate the Service.

9. Third-party services

We rely on third parties including Stripe (payments and payouts), Twilio (SMS), and email delivery providers. Your use of features powered by these providers may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any event will take place as described. Events, their quality, safety, and delivery are the responsibility of the Organizer.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, tickets4U and Payzio Inc, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service or a transaction will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees we earned on the transaction giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD/USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless tickets4U and Payzio Inc from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your events, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, create risk or possible legal exposure for us, or as otherwise permitted by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.

14. Governing law

For Buyers and Organizers transacting in Canada, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. For those transacting in the United States, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
