Privacy Policy

Last updated June 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how tickets4U — operated by Payzio Inc— collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our platform. By using the Service you consent to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

  • Account & contact information: your name, email address, and mobile phone number, used for passwordless one-time-code login and to deliver tickets, receipts, and invites.
  • Transaction information: events you buy or register for, order and ticket details, amounts, currency (CAD/USD), and refund history.
  • Payment information: card and payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we retain limited information such as a card brand and last four digits, and a token that lets you re-use a saved card.
  • Organizer information: for Organizers, business or individual identity details required for Stripe identity verification (KYC) and payouts. This information is provided to and verified by Stripe.
  • Guest lists: for free/RSVP events, Organizers upload guest contact details (name, email, phone) so we can deliver personalized invites on their behalf.
  • Technical information: device, browser, IP address, and usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: process purchases, issue and validate tickets and QR invites, and deliver receipts and notifications.
  • To authenticate you via one-time codes sent by email or SMS.
  • To process payments and Organizer payouts through Stripe, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
  • To improve and secure the Service.

3. How we share information

  • With Organizers:when you buy a ticket to or register for an event, we share necessary information (such as your name and contact details and the tickets you hold) with that event’s Organizer so they can manage entry and communicate with you. Organizers are independent controllers of the information they receive.
  • With service providers: including Stripe (payments and payouts), Twilio (SMS delivery), and our email-delivery provider, who process information on our behalf.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, and safety of our users and the public.
  • In a business transfer: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to secure the Service, and limited analytics to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes, such as tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution requirements, after which we delete or anonymize it.

6. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, signed and single-use ticket QR codes, and restricted access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Canadian residents have rights under PIPEDA (and applicable provincial laws such as Quebec’s Law 25); U.S. residents may have rights under state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise your rights, email tickets4u@payzio.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

8. Messaging consent

By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive transactional messages (such as login codes, ticket links, and event invites) by SMS. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of non-essential messages by replying STOP; note that opting out may prevent delivery of tickets or login codes by SMS.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. International transfers

We operate in Canada and the United States and use service providers that may process information in those and other countries. Where information is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it is protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
